The final result of losing 1-2 to VOFM did nothing but adding salt to the already wounded Chinatown FC. But all is not lost as Chinatown FC look much brighter in today's game out of the 7 games which CFC had lost.

Starting Line Up: Mark, Boy, Bernard, Heng, Ooi, Didi, Yong, Andy, Daniel, Brockwell, William

Substitutes: Robben, Guo Hui, Zhen Zhong, Ono, Monkey, Hoe

Chinatown FC kick off the match in a bright Sunday morning. CFC welcome back winger Ono to the squad and also added another young talent in Brockwell who operate upfront with William, who is back with the squad after injury lay off of almost 6 months. Davis continue to be sidelined for a further 1 month after aggravating his lateral colateral ligament. Mark step in as Keeper for Davis.

CFC plays at a fast tempo right from the start and VOFM struggling to keep pace with the pacey attacker in Andy, Brockwell and William up front. The trio almost get CFC the lead just inside the 3rd min. William headed the ball backward from Didi crosses and Brockwell get the better of the defender and sprint towards the goal. His shot was saved brilliantly by opposition no1. Andy followed up on the rebound but his shot was not connected probably. Bright start for CFC.

CFC defence almost caught flat footed in the 10th min when VOFM cross from midfield had beat the offside trap of CFC's defence. VOFM'ss striker pounce on the through ball but only to see his lobbing shot over the cross bar.

Heng had a mistake 2min later but was lucky to left unpunished as his mis-kick led to opposition striker to have a shot on goal that went just over the bar.

VOFM almost scoreed again in the 18th min after breaking through the offside trap only to see their striker to sh0ot it wide.

CFC's Keeper, Mark, almost scored a bizarre goal on the 30th min when his deep drop kick almost mishandled by VOFM's keeper, but managed to smother the danger on second attempt.

VOFM almost scored against CFC but only to see their striker shot straight into Mark's arm on the 32nd min.

Finally the deadlock broke on the 38th min. CFC defence was in chaos, the defence was playing around dangerously inside the penalty box and the final clearance was poor. VOFM midfielder capitalise on the mistake and punished CFC by driving a low bottom right shot into the net leaving Mark no chance to react.

Half time whistle gone. CFC entering the break trailing by a goal.

2nd half started after a 15min break.

CFC almost equalise straight after the break as Hoe and Ono play a neat one-two. Ono cross was almost mishandled again by VOFM keeper. With Hoe luring near him, he manage to keep calm and grab hold of the loose ball.

First yellow card was given to VOFM defender after pushing Brockwell unfairly to the ground on the 62min.

Brockwell almost score on his debut after meeting Zhen Zhong cross. He turn around quickly with his back facing the goal and made a stunting turning shot. But it was straight to the keeper.

CFC suffer further injury as Zhen Zhong bow out of the match on the 65min. Joining the already long injury list of CFC with a twisted ankle.

Ono almost equalise for CFC after Yong floated in a dangerous corner kick. Ono jump above all but only managed to let the ball slip through his head and wide off the target.

Finally CFC is awarded on the 67min for their constant pressure. Ono, Hoe and William managed to break the offside trap and goes into a three on one situation. Ono pass the ball to Hoe after luring the defender over. With the option to shoot or pass to the advancing William, Hoe let fly a stunning screamer from 25 meters out and the ball crashed the underside of the cross bar and scored, leaving VOFM keeper shell shock.

VOFM almost restored back the lead on the 71st min. They have 2 clear chance to score but CFC's keeper positioning was fantastic to keep out both shot easily.

CFC almost steal the lead, Ono, William and Daniel breaking the offisde trap with only 2 defender struggling to content William trickery. But William made a mistake by passing the ball to Daniel who miskick the ball totally. He should have try a long range effort himself.

Ono, back in the team after several weeks of being dropped was determined to prove his worth. His usual pace down the left flank was a constant thorn to VOFM defence. He broke down the left flank on the 75th min and let fly a thunderous shot but only for it to hit the side netting. A good chance goes begging.

CFC was made to punish for missing all the chances. VOFM free kick from the right into the penalty box was mishandled by Mark, but he was not as lucky as VOFM keeper, VOFM striker managed to pounce on the mistake and tap in the ball into the empty net. 2-1 to VOFM to all the disbelief of CFC who had dominated the whole of second half.

William had a chance from free kick on the 85th min after winning it himself just outside the penalty box. But his shot was block by the wall.

Yong had a chance on goal on the 90th min after Ono breaking down the left flank and pass to Yong to shoot. But the shot was straight into a pool of VOFM players desperately trying to hold on to the lead.

CFC had a final chance on goal on the 92nd min. Mark had ran up to aniticipate Yong free kick. Yong floating in the ball for Mark as their is no one who can match Mark height and size. But VOFM keeper made a brave punch challenging Mark for the ball.

Final whistle blown. Chinatown FC had lost once again. But certainly its a great match to build confident on.

Chinatown FC

Chinatown FC Poors Run Continue

Chinatown FC had equals the record of 6 consecutive defeats, a undesirable feats that happen last year from 8th April 2007 to 3rd June 2007.

13 men travel to Alexandra hospital had went to Alexandra Hospital for a games against team Veteran in search for their 1st win since 9th December 2007. Despite the boost return of striker Hoe to the team, but it was still not enough to help the win secure their first win for the year 2008.

Starting Line Up: Davis, Boy, Heng, Bernard, Guo Qiang, Didi, Marlon, Robben, Andy, Daniel, Hoe

Substitute: Zhen Zhong, Zhi Wei

Match kick off in a hot and sunny Sunday. Opposition striker no 29, Fabian was the first to test the alertness of CFC keeper Davis by trying a long shot from half way line but was easily gather by Davis.

Its was just 5min into the games that CFC had took the lead. Didi ran down the flank, skip pass a defender before making a low pass to the Marlon who is loitering in the center of the box and slot it home pass Veteran's keeper to get Chinatown FC to a flying start.

CFC almost double the lead with Andy using his pace to run down the right flank from the half way line before hitting a low cross for Daniel only for him to hit it straight to the keeper, CFC couldn't believe that it did not goes in.

CFC threw another chance away when Guo Qiang hit a long pass to Andy who ran pass the defender but only for him to shoot straight at Veteran's keeper.

Soon CFC was made to pay after opposition no 47, Charles out-muscled Bernard to set himself free on goal with only Davis to beat. The tall midfielder calmly hit a top left corner shot pass Davis and in off the post. A clinical finishing that left Davis in awe over that goal. Veteran equalised 1-1.

CFC was shocked again as Veteran score another 2 goals in quick succession to make the score 3-1. no 29, Fabian had scored a lobbing shot over Davis who was in no-man land after hesitating whether to rush forward or track back. Poor positioning play by Davis.

Fabian had scored again 3mins later, it was another lobbing shot over Davis after he had rush out to anticipate Fabian should he get pass Didi, who was helping Zhen Zhong to defend as he did not track back after going up for attack. For all his attacking ability, defending certainly was not Didi forte. The overweight striker got pass him with some nifty footwork and saw Davis rushing out, he immediately trip the shot over Davis who was again stranded in no-man land. 3-1 to Veteran.

Daniel almost get CFC back into the game after Andy pacy run downs the right flank again causing trouble to Veteran's defence. His cross was met by Daniel, with all the time in the world, he miss it horribly. Same goes to Hoe who is still gaining back his match fitness. Zhen Zhong deep cross was met by Hoe, but he can only shoot it wide too.

Half time whistle blown, CFC look set to re-organise the team.

2nd half started and CFC almost conceded again after Fabian had dribble past CFC's defence before passing to his team mate no 12, Quah, whose high shot smash the cross bar. CFC almost capitalise on that misses and launch a quick attack. Andy got past Veteran's defence with his pace and only the keeper to beat. His low shot had left the keeper stranded but CFC can only see the shot rebound off the left hand post.

Hoe had a good chance to score after setting free by Andy down the right but his shot was too straight for the keeper. Marlon had a similar chance too but the result was the same as Hoe. Hoe had a chance to redeem himself after setting free by Guo Qiang long cross from inside CFC own penalty box but again, he shoot straight towards the keeper.

CFC had a penalty appeal late in the game after Andy shot was clearly hand-balled by opposition right back. But the referee wave play on to the dismiss of CFC player. Veteran player remain mums about the referee decision.

Finally CFC was awarded for their hardwork and it was no doubt that Andy got his goal. His mazy run down the left flank before cutting inwards and setting himself free only the keeper to beat. He calmly slot it pass the keeper to the right hand post. Chinatown still trailing by 3-2.

It was all CFC attack and they almost conceded twice. The in-form striker Fabian had been causing nightmare to CFC after his shot was rebounded off the pole. Opposition no 14 M Silvadas need just a simple touch in inside the 6 yards box. But Bernard came from nowhere and tackle the ball out for a corner! Fantastic defending!

Full time whistle had blown. CFC might had thought they did enough to at least secure a draw.

Chinatown FC

Clinical Finishing Prove The Differences.

Clinical finishing by Chinatown FC prove to be the differences between a tightly contested match up between Chinatown FC and Spectrum Rover which the former having just 3 shots on goal and make it all counted, winning 3-1 at Bukit Timah Field Pitch 2.

Starting Line Up: Davis, Ooi, Heng, Bernard, Herman, Guo Hui, Guo Qiang, Marlon, Didi, Monkey, Hee

Substitute: Ono

12 men Chinatown FC turn up for today match up against 13th placed Spectrum Rover looking for their 1st win in 5 games despite the heavy downpour.

It was Spectrum Rover that kick off the match. Due to the heavy downpour. Both team are having difficulties to adjust to the sudden change of weather and to adapt to the waterlogged pitch.

It was a poor first half with no side really tested both the keepers.

Spectrum Rover almost snatch the lead when their right winger ran down the flank after a superb through pass by his team mate, before hitting a dangerous cross into the box and Spectrum striker jump high to meet it with a power header towards goal. Davis was there to tip the ball over the bar. He certainly don't mean it as he wanted to take it down to his chest.

Half time ended with Spectrum looking likely to make things happen in the 2nd half.

Chinatown FC started the second half slowly. It was not much later that Chinatown FC steal the lead. Monkey scoring his first ever league goal for CFC after a goal-mouth melee involving Hee, Monkey and Didi. Taking the ball first time, Monkey turn and hit a low shot beyond the keeper reach. 1-0 to CFC. Spectrum was certainly shelf-shocked to trail by a goal as they are the better side from start.

Not willing to let the morale down, Spectrum starts to attack with flair down both flanks with Ooi and Herman working hard to stop them. Heng and Bernard certainly forge a great center back pairing in recent weeks. The four defender are enjoying themselves out in the rain.

Spectrum almost equalise when their cross from their left winger was met by his team mate whose header bounce back off the pole. Spectrum's striker was there to smash it home. But Davis was there and the ball went straight to his head and deflected out for a corner. He must have felt lucky to have stopped the goal bound shot.

CFC almost conceded again when opposition left winger manage to get past Herman and unleashes a powerful shot but was straight at Davis who was caught off guard! No doubt he push it out for a corner, he injured his left wrist in the process.

Finally, Chinatown FC runs out of luck. Spectrum had a free kick just outside the penalty box, the referee had push back the wall for the taker. Davis was still busy organising the wall and waiting for the whistle. But the shot came in immediately to the bottom right corner beating him at full stretch. Davis was certainly furious that the whistle was not blown! His usual powerful kick upfield was met by Ono who out jump Spectrum's player and lay it to Didi who runs down the right flank before crossing in a low cross for Hee. CFC players exploded in joys!

Spectrum restart the match. Davis had shouted for the players to close down once they start the play but no one did. Opposition try a half court shot towards goal. Lucky the shot was too striaght and easy for Davis to take it down, but he was not happy as no one stop them from trying.

Spectrum piles up the pressure on CFC in search of another equalizer. The left winger was set free from a corner and tried to score in an acute angle. It was straight towards goal but Bernard was there to head it out for another corner, fantastic defending by Bernard, he is fantastic today.

Nearing the end of the match. Spectrum was caught offside again! Guo Qiang was there to take the free kick. This time the ball was cross to Guo Hui who was in the middle of the park, making full use of his height advantages. He back header the ball and lay it through for Hee. Taking the ball down calmly and running towards the goal, Hee unleash a unstopable powerful shot straight to the back of the net and smash in the final nail into Spectrum's coffin. There is nothing the keeper could do. 3-1 to CFC. Hee netting a brace!

Full time whistle gone. CFC must be happy with the overall team play.

Players rating:

Davis: On top of his game in recent week since returning from injury, must have felt sad not to have kept the clean sheet. Despite the lack of stamina, he had made full use of his height advantage to set up Hee 2nd goals (7)

Marlon: Playing an unfamiliar holding midfield roles, but he excel in it. Was seen tackling down opposition an disrupt opposition attacks down the center (7)

Guo Qiang: His powerful cross upfield and movement in the center of CFC's heart certainly causing lots of problems to the opposition and CFC 2nd and 3rd goals was mainly contribute by his free kick. Chinatown FC look like they are changing the whole team for the second half except the keeper.

2nd half kick off with no one in particular danger play. It was CFC again who came close to scoring. After some need one-two by Andy, he was set free on goal. But it was nevertheless a superb stopped by Davis.

5min laters. CFC almost snatch the lead. Andy, Foong and Hee was there in a mini goalmouth melee. Despite several attempt, CFC still unable to break through. It was not much later when Hee was been set on goal. With Andy to his right and Guo Hui to his left, his first touch was too far forward and Nautical's keeper was there to smother the danger. Another chance goes begging.

In the 83rd minutes. Opposition 17 manage to squeeze past Rong Guang for the first time after a spirited performance by Rong Guang to cut down his ball supply. He cut in towards the goal quickly before leashing a low and hard shot to the bottom left corner. Davis dive down fast to palm it round the pole. But it was Bravehearts who came close to open the account after just 7 minutes into the games. Opposition striker had a shot from nowhere to the bottom left corner but Davis was there to palm the shot round the post for a corner, which was later fist away by him.

Bravehearts came close again when their midfielder had a shot that just whistle pass Davis's right hand pole.

Monkey had a shot on goal from the resulting goal kick only for him to shoot straight at the opposition keeper.

CFC seems to be looking tired today, losing possession easily and was not well organise. Soon Bravehearts open the account with a cross to the center. Davis was there to smoother the danger. He allowed the ball to bounce first but it was shocked that the bounce was so high that it lobbed over Davis into the back of the net despite him trying to rush back to push it out. Bad blunder by Davis.

It was not much later that CFC trailed 2-0. Davis was at fault once again. Zhi Wei tried to stop opposition right winger mazy run into the box but he manage to shoot to the right of Davis goal and left him absolutely stranded. Bad judgement! Davis could have dive over to stop it, but he stand still! 2-0 to Bravehearts. CFC have a mountain to climb!

Ono had a chance too when he jump high to met Foong crosses only for him to head wide. A few minutes later, Foong had a chance for glory too, but his free kick was just over the bar.

Whistle blown! CFC went into the break trailing. Boy give some team talks and asked CFC to enjoy the games and neglect the result. Ono had console Davis to forget bout the blunders and prove himself worthy in the second half.

Substitutions was made by CFC and Bravehearts kick off trying to score from half way line but was way off target.

Bravehearts was the one who trying to extend their league. Their left winger breaking down the left and send a low cross to the center for his striker to tap in, but Davis was there to blocked it with his leg.

CFC had yet another scare when Bravehearts came thrice to scoring. Their left winger trying a lobbing shot over Davis but was tipped away for a corner. Follow by a free kick which was well handled by Davis before another 1 on 1 save by Davis again.

It was Chinatown FC all the way following that and CFC players was close to scoring a goal when CFC newcomer no 17 cross in a deep cross to the far end only for Marlon to miss it infront of goalmouth!

Foong almost scored too when he managed to dribble past 2 defender and had a shot on goal only for Bravehearts defender to clear off the line.

Rong Guang almost had a chance to score after CFC no 17 make a run into the penalty box, but his crosses was way to high for Rong Guang who is in the center of the box. A pass towards the center will certainly mean a goal for CFC.

CFC certainly as hapless today as lady luck was not with them. All their shot was blocked and not a single one really tested their keeper.

Davis was there once again to palm alway a goal bound shot from the right winger who was shock their his shot was saved too.

Despiite relentless assault by CFC, but all was fruitless attempt. CFC had yet to earn a point against them and the poor run continues.

Starting Line Up: Davis, Ooi, Heng, Boy, Guo Qiang, Ono, Yong, Marlon, Daniel, Hee, Toa Payoh

Substitutes: Zhen Zhong, Bernard, Monkey, Foong, Robben, Andy, Mark

CFC started the match brightly against El Este Spur, determined to end their dismal run against the team whom they had yet to drew a point from them.

Despite CFC dominating the opening 5min. It was Spur who give CFC an early scare as their striker have a goal from far. Davis dived to the bottom right far post at full stretch to push it out for a corner.

In the 8th min, Spur's winger Haris who was in a total offside postition, manage to run pass the CFC defend to slot under Davis right hand pole. CFC was frustrated over the referee for not blowing the offside whistle.

Not much later, Guo Qiang fouled opposition midfielder Kamal and was awarded a free kick. The resulting freekick was destinated to curve out for a goal kick but Davis misjudge it and pump it out further to play safe. Haris went over to take the corner who was met by opposition number 9 only for him to head straigth to Davis arm.

CFC finally equalised in the 15th min. Free kick was awarded to CFC after Hee was foul, Yong floaed in a long cross into the penalty box and was met by Toa Payoh who head it towards the keeper who poor handling let it bounce back to Toa Payoh to smash home into the roof of the net. 1-1 to CFC.

But CFC joy was short-life as Spur manage to regain the lead immediately. Breaking down the center to CFC defend. Spur's striker number 27 hit the ball at Heng leg and Heng tries to clear it. But it bounce off back to the 27 leg and back into the botton left corner leaving Davis absolutely no chance. A lucky goal Spur, CFC trailing 1-2.

Chinatown FC was soon made to the pay for some sloopy defence after Spur's midfielder Kamal who beat the offside trap and make a thumping shot, Davis manage to pump it but was not enough to stop the powerful into the back of the net. 3-1 to Spur.

In the 30th min, CFC had a claim for goal dismissed by the referee. Hee shot was seem to be off the line and CFC players are shouting for goal, only for the referee to say no to it. CFC was certainly buffled by the bad referee decision.

Soon later, Hee manage to score against them. Zhen Zhong shot was mis-aimed and it slip past the right of Spur's defence and Hee smash it home to narrow the scoreline difference to 1. Chinatown FC 2-3 Spur. CFC look strong to fight back.

In the injury time, CFC could have equalise. Toa Payoh intial shot was saved by Spur's keeper but his butter-finger let the ball roll out again. But he manage to catch it back bravely despite Toa Payoh challenge for it.

CFC going into the break trailing by a goal and team captain Boy give a team talk to motivate the team.

Second half whisle blown. CFC started the game brightly determined to overcome the deficit. Monkey had an early chance to even the score but his shot was just wide off the right hand pole.

Not long later, CFC had another claim for gaol dismissed once again. Yong free kick into the penalty box was met by Guo Qiang who head it to the bottom right corner. The keeper saved it but was over the line. CFC players shout for goal again but was again dismissed by the referee. CFC players was certainly pissed off by the referee.

Monkey had yet another chance from outside the penalty box, his bottom right shot was not strong enough and the keeper had a routine save to it.

CFC nearly conceded again when Spur's Haris broke down the left again and laid back to his team mate after Davis dived towards him to stop him. But his pass was clear for a corner by some superb defending from Bernard.

Despite the numerous attempt, CFC still unable to even the score and was soon made to pay. Davis drop kick was back to opposition who cross it back into the penalty box first time. Opposition stirker manage to lob over Davis put mis-timed his kick. Davis manage to dash back to the goal line but the striker laid back to his team mate for him to tap home from close range. 4-2 to Spur. CFC certainly look dejected.

Soon later, Spur extend their lead again. Breaking down between Bernard and Heng, and score pass the hapless Davis. Strong appeal for off side again. But was dismissed yet again by the referee who seems to side Spur for the whole game.

CFC had a chance to narrow the deficit from free kicks. Marlon hit it just wide off the right hand post and Yong had a shot which is parried away by their keeper.

Full time whistle blown, it was certainly not Chinatown FC day.

Chinatown FC

Hard fought victory for CFC

Chinatown FC bounce back from defeat against Mean Machine to registered a hard fought 1-0 victory over high flying Dutch Ladies who had score 11 goals in the last 2 matches.

19 strong man squad travel to Pei Hwa Secondary with a surprise appearance from Guo Hui who is still recovering from tear ligament.

Starting Line Up: Davis, Wei Xian, Boy, Heng, Guo Qiang, Foong, Yong, Marlon, Daniel, Hoe, Ooi.

Substitutes: Rong Guang, Guo Hui, Zhen Zhong, Bernard, Ono, Andy, Robben, Monkey

Chinatown FC started the games brightly passing around the pitch against 8 men Ducth Ladies whose player are late.

Nothing spectacular and CFC are unable to take full advantage of the numerical advantages. Corner kick!

Foong went over to take the resulting corner kick and Guoo Qiang rise above all the other to head home for CFC leaving the keeper absolutely stranded. It was the first ever goal for Guo Qiang! CFC lead 1-0 early in the game

Not much later, Yong see Guo Qiang running up and instantly hit an upfield cross. Guo Qiang let it bounc once before trying to hit a low shot but was unfortunately block by the extended leg of opposition keeper. With all the time he had, he mis-kick the shot and send it wide. A horrible mistake!

Half time whistle blown. CFC went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Soon, 2nd half whistle blow, CFC making lots of changes to the team.

Monkey tested the opposition defend straight after the restart with some nifty footwork before his shot was blocked for a corner kick.

Ono also tested opposition defence with his mazy run down the flank and was determined to score against his friends, who is the opposition keeper, a formal s-league reserved keeper. But all his attempt was fruitless as he is too eager to make an impact.

Both side had a chance to score from free kicks. Davis recover quickkly and shouted that he will get the ball but Boy didn't heard it and clear away. Chinatown had an early scare as oppositon broke down the right side before passing back to his team mate at the center but Marlon was there to clear it skyhigh before opposition can get on to it.

Both team are having difficulties in adjusting to the dampness of the pitch as both team are unable to control the ball properly.

In the 10th min. Hoe had a good chance too after he outpace opposition defender but only for him to shoot wide. Opposition making a through ball from the midfield and was met by his team mate. Despite an attempt by Guo Qiang to block it but was unable to. Opposition saw Davis dashing out to stop him and he lob cooly over him to extend Mean Machine lead to 2 goals.

Half time whistle blown with CFC trailing by 2-0. Foong immediately hit in a dangerous cross into the penalty box. Opponent tried to clear it first time, but unfortunately mis-kicked it and lob over the keeper into his own netting. Chinatown FC lead 1-0 after just 2 minutes into the game.

It was not much later that Chinatown FC extend their lead. Opponent was attacking down the right flank but was unlucky to meet the tough tackling Guo Qiang who nudge the winger and won back the ball for Chinatown. Seeing Marlon running forward, he whipped forward a superb 30 yards pass from just outside CFC penalty box into opponent penalty box. With some more works to do for Marlon, he lets the ball bounce once before unleashing a left leg volley from the right into the bottom left corner, leaving the keeper absolutely stranded on the ground. 2-0 to CFC.

After a while, CFC Captain's got hit on his back and was forced to leave the field.

With no side particulaly impressive and possessing any threat. Guo Qiang who had won back the ball and dribble pass one opponent and saw Hee free down the left center of the pitch. Guo Qiang instinctively hit another superb 25 yards forward pass that met Hee who dribble forward before slotting into the bottom left corner against the on-rushing keeper.

Wei Xian, who had a good game, tried to stop the opposition who is trying to dribble but was fouled and got injured after his shin guard slip down and opposition had hit his shin accidentally.

Toa Payoh had a good chance just before half time, but his one on one shot to the bottom right corner was saved by the keeper who keep it out at full stretch.

Chinatown FC went into the break leading 3-0

Match restart with a major change to the team. Chinatown FC look to seat back on the huge lead.

10 minutes into the game. A horrendous mistake by opposition no 1 who get the ball from his team mate and wanna cleared but was mis-kicked and the ball roll to Hoe to tap it in from close range to extend CFC leads to 4-0

Ono had a quiet game today. Even though he still managed to run down the flank several times. But he was foul by opposition who had no choice but to bring Ono down as he was way too fast for them. The only time he did, after runing pass 3 defender, he managed to squeeze through on goal but only for him to shoot wide.

Ah Yong was seen all over the pitch tackling and holding the ball while Heng was his usual reliable self. Ah Hoe, Andy had a quiet games too as CFC look much more reserved in attacks in the second half.

In the 80th min, opposition number 00 manage to score a consolation goal after a neat passing from his team mate and setting him free down the center and slot pass Davis into the bottom right corner.

Mantiz Utd almost scored his second goal when oppoent number 00 latch onto a through pass down the top left of the penalty box. Davis tried to tackle but failed and the ball was whipped into the center. Upon receiving his pass, his team mate tries to get past Boy before shooting a goalbound shot. It was a dull and boring match for the first 20 minutes with no one really threatening to break through on goal. CFC had alot of chances but was all wasted.

The best chance went to Andy, who dribble past down the right flank before shooting straight at the Russian Terlepas's keeper.

CFC defending looking as shaky as the last 4 matches with Heng playing as last man behind the back 3 of Wei Xian, Boy and Guo Qiang, much to the keeper, Davis, disagreement of back four formation, who prefer a flat back four.

Soon, the defence was expose to Russian Terlepas who had received a through ball from his team mate, passing through Wei Xian and Boy and was set free on the left. Even though Heng and Wei Xian tried to cover back, it was to no avail. Opposition taken the lead shooting pass Davis who stood absolutely grounded. The defence was messy once again.

It was not much later when Russian Terlepas scored their second goal similar to the first one but was via the right channel. Davis making a horrible mistake by dashing out to stop the shot even though Heng had it covered. The opposition managed to slot it under Davis to lead 2-0.

Much to the shock of the team to trail by 2 goals in such a short space of time, CFC starts to open up the play. CFC starts to attack with flair down both the flank and was soon rewarded with a sweet goal from Hee, who was in a goal drought for months. Robben running down the left side of the penalty box before crossing a low cross which met Hee's head to head it home, narrowing the scoreline down to 2-1.

With believe back to CFC sides, it was just a minutes later before Ono who makes his usual run down the left flank before hitting a low pass for Foong, who also had not score for months, to tap it home from close range. 2-2 to CFC.

Russian Terlepas was shock by the sudden reverse of result. A 2 goals lead became 2-2 in such a short space. But they did not let it bring the team morale down. Soon, they was set free once again by CFC suicidal defending who left an opposition striker lurking alone after he was set freed by his team mate for a 1 on 1 situation. Davis rush out and dived bravely to save the shot to hold on to the 2-2 situation.

Half tome whistle blown with the scoreline 2-2. Davis was certainly unhappy with the defending once again. Monkey also had an argument with Boy, indicating that he wish to play as striker but was force to enter into the fray as a midfielder. Ah Hoe had a relatively quiet games after been played out of position by Boy for been a attacking midfielder. Guo Qiang had a superb match after returning from injury to cover up the back four with an energetic display helping Davis in the defence.

Match restart with a major shuffling of the team, Wei Xian was replaced by Rong Guang, Herman for Guo Qiang, Zhen Zhong for Boy, William for Andy, Monkey for Hoe and Mark for Foong. Davis had asked Heng and Zhen Zhong to play a flat back four instead of the tactic used in the first half.

15 minutes into the second half. Mark received the ball from no where and with his trademark turning shot, he turns and make a fierce dipping cross into the center of the six yard box and was misheld by opposition no 1 and let it slip out for Ah Hee to tap home his second goals of the day.

With the flat back four looking much more stable compare to stopper formation. Davis had a easier match as it was well ushered by the reliable Heng after he was restored to his left center back role compare to his stopper role with Zhen Zhong supporting him. Rong Guang and Herman had a good game too helping one another at the backline.

Soon, CFC extend it lead to 2 goals after Ono, who are at his usual self, ran pass 4 Russian Terlepas players from midfield before slotting it pass the keeper. 4-2 to CFC. 2 matches 2 goals for Ono.

It was not much later with Andy scoring the team 5th goal. It was his 3rd goal in as many matches. A carbon copy of Ono's goal. Andy ran down the right midfield dribbling pass 3 opponent before cutting in for an 1 on 1 situation. His initial shot was bounced back off the right post after beating the keeper but was followed up by he himself to tap it home into an empty net.

The celebration was cut down with our latest signing William, needed to be carried off after spraining his ankle in a 50-50 challenge and also speculation that Ah Hoe are retiring in October for unknown reason. But CFC is determined to persuade him to play on.

4 wins and 1 draw for the past 5 matches with a total of 15 goals scored and 7 goals conceded. Everything looks good for CFC as they are all out to climb up the table in SDS League after a horrible starts, winning only 1 out of the 10 games and losing 7 out of the remaining 9. But CFC is now starting to show others their capabilities!

If CFC were to play like the second half with no suicidal defending. It is just a matter of time before CFC are able to push themselves to top 7 position.

Chinatown FC

Chinatown FC held to a draw by Dirty Dozen

Much hype around the recent form of Chinatown FC, who had won for the past 3 games, that they looks the favourtie to win the game against Dirty Dozen. Past record shown that Chinatown FC had won both meeting against them by 1-0 and 4-1 respectively.

Chinatown FC line-up: Davis, Wei Xian, Ah Heng, Ah Boy, Ah Ooi, Bernard, Ah Foong, Ah Yong, Daniel, Marlon and Ah Hoe.

Sub: Andy, Ono, Zhen Zhong, Monkey, Robben

Chinatown FC started the games brightly against 9 man Dirty Dozen whose player are late. Despite the numerical advantages, Chinatown FC was unable to capitalise on it. Soon, the match erupted when Dirty Dozen player came in to fill up the remaining slot.

Battle was held mostly in the center of the park with either side able to break through on goal. The best chance fall to CFC. Daniel was free on the far post with no one near him. But he was unable to meet the end of the cross whipped in dangerously by Bernard.

Dirty Dozen nearly score when Zhen Zhong mis-timed a clearance letting opposition to pounce on it, trying to lob over the advancing keeper, Davis, but went wide.

Half time whistle blown. 0-0

Match restarted after a few team talks by skipper Ah Boy concerning the players concentration. With several players playing out of positions.

Chinatown FC played the ball well with a few neat one-two down the flanks. Its was not long before CFC open the account, Ono upon receiving the ball, ran pass opposition centerback to the left of the penalty box before passing a grounder for Andy to tap it home from close range. 1-0 to CFC.

Dirty Dozen begin to fight back and CFC lost concentration 5 minutes later. The ball was crossed upfield down the center after Bernard, who play as centerback went above the half court line leaving Ah Boy stranded at the back. Davis rush out and block the initial shot but the ball bounce to another opposition who tap it into an open net. Scoreline held at 1-1.

Chinatown FC was made to paid for the same mistake again after opposition number 7 had beat the offside trap similar to the first goal CFC conceded, and slot past Davis to lead 2-1.

With morale down but not out, CFC crawl back into the match and attack the opposition with flair. Ono, with his usual cut in run down the left, was tackle blindly by opposition defender in the penalty box but the referee had only awarded CFC a free kick and a yellow card to the defender. CFC player argued back but was to no avail.

With so much at stake and the recent form of CFC. Chinatown FC refused to laid back and continue to attack leaving the defense empty. Dirty Dozen managed to break free once again but was saved by Davis, who had a busy second half. Soon, CFC was rewarded for their effort. Ono once again was brought down by opposition and he loses his coolness and attempted to challenge the defender but was held back by CFC players. This time, Ah Yong float in the resulting free kick for Ono to head in from close range. 2-2.

With the match time tickling down. CFC defense was once again in chaos letting oppoent to run through, trying to lob over CFC keeper, but was saved by the cross bar. The ball landed on opponent leg and Davis plunged instantly to grab the ball. The opposition argue for a penalty claiming he was tackled on the leg but was turn down by the referee and was shown a yellow card. In a moment of madness, the player slap the yellow card to the floor leaving the referee no choice but to show him the red card.

Match ended 2-2.

Chinatown FC

5 stars Chinatown FC

William score in his home debut at Cantonment Field as Chinatown FC thrashed opposition (Team name was unavailable) 5-2.

Chinatown FC got off to a great start with Daniel open the scoring account with a lob before Andy slot pass the advancing keeper just inside the penalty box. 2-0 to Chinatown FC.

It was not long before Ah Hoe scores a third goal after he out-muscled opposition keeper for a 50-50 ball and slot the ball into an empty net.

Opposition managed to get a goal back before half time with an intial one-on-one effort stopped by Davis only for the ball to bounce back to the striker to tap it home.

Second half started slowly with William and Rong Guang introduced into the team. Opposition began to attack more down both flank but was stopped by the superb defence ushered by Ah Heng.

It was just a matter of time before William scored his debut goal in his home debut by rounding off the keeper and finished it with his left foot into an open netting. 4-1 to Chinatown FC.

As the match went on. Chinatown FC midfield was opened up by opposition more frequently and the entire defence look tired and jagged, allowing opposition to roam freely.

Davis was forced into two one-on-one save in quick succession. First blocking opposition no 11 who had dribble past 7 Chinatown players before hitting his shot straight at Davis. It was not long before opposition no 44 managed to get past the reliable Ah Heng and his shot was block by Davis forearm and went wide for a corner.

But the opponent scored in the resulting corner. The ball was float in by opposition into the far post of Davis and was met by opposition no 11 and head it towards goal. Davis managed to saved it but only for it to land to his left for opposition to tap in their 2nd goal of the match.

Fei Ji Shou could have finish the game after a great team played by Chinatown FC down the left flank. Davis spotted Rong Guang free down the left flank and threw the ball to him. Rong Guang let it rolled forward and pass to Ono who played a quick one-two with William and set himself free down the left flank. Ono spotted Fei Ji Shou free in the center of the penalty box and made a low pass to him but he failed to convert it.

In the dying minute. Chinatown was awarded a corner and Ah Heng was set free. He took the ball down cooly with his right foot before he blast the ball pass the hapless keeper with his stronger left foot to complete the scoring.

Full time whistle blown, Chinatown FC emerge victory with a 5-2 win.

Chinatown FC

Chinatown FC complete the signing of Rong Guang and William

Chinatown FC had completed the signing of Rong Guang, 23 and William, 20 on 8th July 2007 and 5th August respectively.

Rong Guang, 23, can operate as an attacking wing back or a full back, have a powerful left foot and a sight for goal. Well known for his accurate tackling and non-nonsense play. He had ever recorded 5 goals in 1 game before he went to Army. Due to lack of fitness now, he had been training hard to regain his match fitness.

William, 20, formal ex-SAF under 18 player. Operate as second striker, possessed 2 quick and powerful leg. He was handicap in height, but his vision and team play was superb and was well known for his accurate passing and dribbling with a fearless shot on goal with either leg.

Both was introduced to the Team on 12th Aug 2007 during a friendly games which Chinatown FC won 5-2.

Chinatown FC

Early goal settled it for Chinatown FC

In a tightly contested match between Chinatown FC and Club de Futbol. An early goal by Bernard in the 10th min settled it for Chinatown FC to record 2 successive victory. The last time that Chinatown FC achieve this back to back victory was way back to early February 2007.

Bernard was set free and ran into opponent penalty box. Club de Futbol center back had force him to go to the byline but Bernard managed to skip past them before slotting past the advancing keeper to score from a tight angle.

Chinatown FC had tried to extend their league but was unable to break down Club de Futbol stubborn defend. Meanwhile, Chinatown FC was force to sit back for most of the game to contain opposition attacks.

Ah Heng, with his usual coolness, organise the back four superbly, catching opponent offside in several occassion and Wei Xian had a great match without losing lots of possession and look solid to neutralise opposition winger.

Davis was well protected by the superb defending of the team and virtually had a quiet game.

Second half started with Chinatown FC new signing, William, on his debut, playing alongside with Ah Hoe to spearhead Chinatown's attack. But, Chinatown FC had focus too much on defend to protect their slim advantage, thus neglecting on the attacking side.

William manage to prove to the team that he up to the occasion by dribbling pass several opposition in the 75th min before passing a defend splitting pass to Ah Hoe to set him free only for Ah Hoe to shoot straight to the keeper with his weaker left foot.

Game ended in a low as the ball was battle in the center of the field most of the time.

A hard fought 1-0 win to Chinatown FC.

Chinatown FC

Chinatown FC 2-1 Bravehearts

It was a joyous occasion for Chinatown FC as several key players was back to the squad from injuries. A whopping of 19 players turned up for the match up against Bravehearts.

Chinatown FC had overcome a resilient Bravehearts side 2-1, who is determined to get their first point in the league after consecutive 12 defeats.

Having played some neat football, Chinatown was unable to convert the chance presented generously to them. They struggles to get past their towering center back, who had been instrumental throughout the game.

Half time whistle gone. 0-0

Second half started with Chinatown FC attacking right from the restart but was to no avail. Bravehearts had another Thai striker substitute, came on to replace a midfielder. 3 Thai strikers spearhead Bravehearts attack!

The strikers was fast and Chinatown FC had difficulties in containing them. But nevertheless, the defend was well organised by Team Captain Ah Boy.

Finally in the 80th min, Chinatown FC broke the deadlock! Ah Mun had scored a simple tap-in after an usual mazy run by Ono which broke open the whole Bravehearts defend down the left flank.

Match restart with the 3 Thai Striker open up the entire Chinatown squad and equalize immediately leaving Chinatown's players pondering what had happened.
